Tips for Photographers to Optimize their EMAILS!
Want a solid system to sort between incoming sales emails and all your other crappy incoming emails?
Well, now you can! You can prioritize your sales emails by using an identifier! Read on below to find out how.
We Bet You Didn’t Know This About Your Gmail Account!
Imagine your email is
Your.Email@gmail.com
(you actually don’t need the dot before anything preceding the @ sign. So mail sent to Your.Email@gmail.com actually goes to the same place as YourEmail@gmail.com)
How to Sort Email Directly For Sales Requests.
YourEmail+sales@gmail.com
Adding in the +sales directly before the @gmail.com will allow you “filter” your mail when it comes in so that you can either use IFTTT to auto-respond or notify you via a text message or forward email directly to the person who handles sales.
YourEmail+complaints@gmail.com
After YourEmail, adding in the +complaints@gmail.com after YourEmail, will allow you to sort emails with filters/rules in your inbox, to send the straight to the Trash bin so you don’t have to know how poor your service actually is! We kid, but there’s some people who’d rather not know what they can improve.
Other Applications of This Hack
Want to find out which service provider is selling off your email list to a spammer?
Then use segmented emails to specifically sign up for each service such as Netflix, AmazonPrime, etc. by signing up with emails like YourEmail+Netflix@gmail.com or YourEmail+Prime@gmail.com each time you sign up to a service. All the emails end up in the same inbox, but the specifiers attached to the suffix of “YourEmail” before the “@gmail.com” will allow you to identify where and who that email came from.
In Conclusion
If you’re a nerd like we are, you’ll probably enjoy this little email hack, as it can help you sort and filter information in all your incoming emails.
