In case you ever wanted to place a HOLD on a customer’s card, for whatever reason, such as a deposit, or damage deposit, or what ever. Here’s how you can do that in the STRIPE dashboard.
+ Create Payment
First rap on this button, it should be purple. See screenshot below.
“Capture Funds Later”
Once you’ve entered the +Create Payment screen, you’ll want to enter the amount of money you’d like to capture, as. well as the customer whose card you want to capture it from, before finally selecting the “Capture Funds Later” checkbox, after which you can “Submit Payment”.
See screenshot below.
Submit Payment
And now you’re done! You have 7 days before the hold expires and the money is returned back to the customer if you don’t capture the payment before the 7 days expires!
